| Look Ma! I'm on a poster!! |
The book launch took place last Sat at Halifax Seed. I am so thankful to all the folks at Halifax Seed (Tim, Nancy, Emily, Fraser, Carla, Jane, etc.) who worked very hard to make it a smooth launch and accommodate everyone who dropped by for the event. All in all, there were over 200 people who popped in to say hello, pick up a book and have it signed. Halifax Seed even ran out of books! It was such a great turnout and I just wish I could have spent more time talking to all the avid gardeners who came in! I'm very grateful for all the support from everyone and the genuine enthusiasm for year round gardening.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
If you didn't get a chance to come to the launch, I'll be at Chapters Bayers Lake this Saturday, Feb 11th from 2:30 to 4:30 signing books. I'll also bring some seed packet samples of some of my favourite cold season veggies to share - while quantities last! :)
I will also be at the Seaport Farmer's Market on Sat Feb 18th from 9 to 11 am! Come say hello and check out the market return of the wonderful Owen Bridge of Annapolis Seeds! I know I'll be picking up some seeds from Owen while I'm there! You will not believe how many heirloom tomatoes he's added to his 2012 catalogue!!

Congrats Niki! Wish I could have been there! Have fun in Philadelphia in a few short weeks!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteWe've ordered your book from a local independent bookseller here in western New York (Rochester). Can't wait to read it! It's wonderful to think book writers/sellers can still do so well.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to buy your book online? We're kind of far away from Nova Scotia (namely, British Columbia!)
ReplyDeleteHi Jeri, Thanks for asking!! It is available online at www.chapters.ca as well as www.amazon.ca in Canada. But, it should also be in your local bookstores.. Coles, Chapters, and hopefully some independents too! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again!
I have started Year round gardening just this year after my wife got tired of feeling sorry for me about having to move off the farm I grew up on to move to the city. I am starting to really have fun with it. I hope to be able to continue and also to get a copy of and read your book! Maybe one day I can be as successful with it as you are.
